Good Day Folks,

First I want to let you all know my ebooks are all on sale The sale ends October 1. Links are below. I thought I would share something I have discovered about authors. When most of submit us our books to reviewers, we all of sudden become nervous wrecks. I do. While I wait all of sudden I am insecure about my writing. It does not matter how many say I love your books, or my kids love your books. It does not matter we are waiting for that one review that will crush us for a little while. These are the emotions I go through.

They will hate, the story is to long, they catch some grammatical error, etc. This will be the one where a nice reviewer emails me and says I really do not like your story so will not review instead of posting a 1 star review.Then I try to convince myself it I can only learn from this and do better. These are the thoughts I have and I know many others do. Authors are a insecure bunch. But this is good, it makes us better writers.

Well so far I have be very blessed. None of these images in my head have come true. My reviews have been outstanding and criticisms have been very helpful. I want to thank all who take the time to review, share and spread the word that children will love my stories and hopefully let them explore the adventure.

Just read the coolest kids book….its called “James Saves The Moon” by Wendy Nystrom.

Wendy’s book starts in Iceland, and her son saw something-remarkable. But-at the same time, he wonders, could it really be? So what does he want to do-explore of course, after all, he is a little boy with a great imagination! James sets out on an adventure inspired by his mom and supported by his family. Along the way he makes a new best friend, and other friends. He finds out some fables of Iceland, and explores things around-but most of all, he experiences a journey of a lifetime with his new friends. Really, this book is one that will spark your child’s imagination, set them off in wonder, and give them something to aspire for! Wendy’s illustrations will give you the feel of another land, an adventure in itself-great job to her illustrator! Her writing makes each image pop together, and form almost a movie in your mind. Such a fun book to enjoy!

My 9 year old has become a “mega fan” and reads the book daily! It is one of his newest favorites! He talks about it, shows people the book, and explains it to his brothers–that is a book that has truly captured a child—phenomenal.

Murder on Mars by M.M Shelley Adventure

Good Day Folks,

It is my pleasure to review Murder on Mars by M. M. Shelley. All I can say is what a spectacular reading adventure. I love mysteries and this book is jam packed with mysteries. This is a murder mystery with a twist because it takes you on and adventure on the real streets of New Orleans and the Shadow Streets of New Orleans. What more can I say well plenty. Ava a young gal receives a message her best friend Dyson is missing. Then a body amongst other bodies are found. Is Dyson one of the them or not. Ava must unravel the mystery to Dyson’s disappearance. Then add paranormal twist to it with the shadow world. Ava discovers much about herself and that she can see the shadows. She can travel the streets in both worlds. As she unravels the mysteries and players she also is discovering aspects of herself and her history. She is young and discovers she is one tough gal. The author does good job with the transitions. It is a page turner for sure. I just loved it. I look forward to reading other books by M.M. Shelley and the next one that may give us more details about Ava’s background and secrets she is unraveling about herself. I want to know more. Keep up the good work M.M. Shelley.

AG Book Club Adventure~ Golden and Ethan’s My Life with Autism

Good Day Folks,

I am having a grand adventure at Anchor Group Publishing book club. This month we had two books to read, enjoy and report on.

The first book is a Children’s book called Ethan’s Story: My Life with Autism

This book is written from an child’s point of view and Ethan did a fabulous job relating his story. The book is colorful and fun. While at the same time teaches us the struggles and misunderstanding of children with autism. My girls read the book and thought it was quite interesting. They have an autism program at their school. And at times would come home and ask why did a AI child to this or that. After reading the book and being exposed properly at school they now have a better understanding and realize these children have the same struggles as they do in school. They just have a different way it is portrayed in the public. I found this read insightful, fun and interesting. And Yes Ethan we are the way we are and its a good thing we all have special gifts and struggle. I am purchasing this book for our schools Autistic program at the school. The Second book we were given to read was Golden by Monika Pardon

I loved this book. The story begins with a young gal attending her Grandmother’s funeral. Everyone is against her for some reason, she cannot trust anyone. Then while in the woods she has an encounter with three bears. Yes three bears. She has been changed into something and finds out how important she is to the world or worlds. A lot for this young lady to take on she does not really know who to turn to or trust. There is a handsome young man of course but is he on her side or her enemies. Not to give away anymore of the story. I recommend this good read. It was fun and a clever way to find out what happens after an encounter with three bears in the woods. Wonderous Wednesday Children Adventures! Petal the Owl by Joy Findlay

It will engage you and child in conversation of things they see in the illustrations. I think preschoolers would have you read these books over and over. I have great news. You can now purchase my book in print or ebook on Amazon. What a ride this has been. It is so nice to have it back out in print updated and it looks snazzy. I really am enjoying working with the ladies at Anchor Group Publishing. I love the new look of the cover. Good reviews already have been posted. Thursday Thriller Adventure! More than Magic indeed!

Today I have a Thursday Thriller Adventure for you. More than Magic: Semester Abroad by Elizabeth Kirke

More than Magic: Semester Abroad

Well this is quite the thriller and more. Jen is excited about her summer abroad on a cruise ship and traveling to new places and meeting new people. Boy did she meet some new characters for sure! Then the unexpected happens and she is thrust into a new world of magic and magical beings. Her life has changed for ever. Will she live her life as it has been or will she embrace the world of magical beings living amongst us mere mortals. Or will she have no choice? More than Magic indeed! I loved this story. You will have to read to find out what happens to this gal The visuals were spectacular. Quite the cruise. Full of wit, new friends,enemies, adventure, live changing, excitement and magic. I wish my cruise was this much fun. I find them boring and mostly filled with boring people. I highly recommend this read. Look forward to second one in the series.

A little about the Author Elizabeth Kirke ~

Elizabeth Kirke wanted to be an author before she even knew what an author was. She used to say that she wanted to be an artist, but that was only because she was too young to write and had to tell stories with pictures instead. She hasn’t stopped writing since she learned how. It wasn’t long before she dreamed of becoming an author and couldn’t be happier now that that dream is a reality.

If she isn’t writing…well, let’s be honest; if she isn’t writing she’s probably on Facebook thinking that she should start writing. But, if she isn’t writing or on Facebook, she’s probably doing something involving books, baking, gardening, or yarn. In an ideal world, she’d be reading and knitting while something from the garden is in the oven. Then again, in an ideal world, she’d have a flock of ducks and a couple of goats.

Like most slightly-nosy, avid readers, Elizabeth can’t resist trying to catch a peek at books she sees people reading when out in public to see if she can figure out what it is. While doing just that one day, she realized that it would probably be the coolest-thing-ever if she caught a complete stranger reading one of her books. That’s her new dream.
