Good Day Folks,

This book would be wonderful to read to kids and older kids will enjoy this magical story of five magical special butterflies. The illustrations by Mike Ferrin, add to the story and will be enjoyed.
I truly enjoyed this book. A young boy named Nick, who is dealing with getting his strength back after accident has positive messages he wants to share and help others. He discovers five caterpillars on his window sill all special and different markings help him help others. They all crawl into his shirt pocket. The caterpillars change into Butterflies and fly out of Nick’s pocket and whisper a message to those having a difficult time. The orange is first and whispers patience to his sister. The next one had wings that looked like stained glass and whispered to his mother helpfulness. The next butterfly whispered cooperation to his father so Nick helped with fixing his sister’s bike. Then a dark reddish-brown coat with black and white trim butterfly flew over to his other sister and whispered friendliness. His little sister comes running out and says “You can’t catch me.” Nick run lopsided with his artificial leg and begins to tear up. The last butterfly fluttered out of his pocket and whispers determination. He ran harder and faster and caught up to his sister. Everyone watches in amazement. That evening when he looks at his window all five beautiful butterflies are there waiting for him to open the window. Tender magical family adventure with five important words to remember is a wonderful read.

Where is Scales? By Celeste Little Adventure!

Standard

Good Day Folks
index5 star adventure ages 5-8
Where is Scales by Celeste Little is a fun adventure with a life learning lesson at the end. This would be a fun story to read to children too. Children will feel like they are part of the adventure trying to help Tommy find Scales the Lizard at school. I enjoyed the story and think children will laugh and have fun with this story. The illustrations by Mike Motz are fun, exciting and add to the story. Tommy decides to bring his lizard scales to school. The lizard decides to explore and have fun traveling around the school. Tommy and his friends attempt to find Scales. They spot him but cannot capture him. At the end of the day Tommy thinks his lizard Scales is gone for good. As he is backing up his backpack Scales is sleeping after all his adventures during school. Tommy learns a lesson that he will never bring Scales his pet lizard to school again.

Here are the Amazon and Barnes and Noble Links for Scales. Take a look at the second adventure Tommy and Scales have.

This story is truly a birthday adventure. The book will make you smile, laugh, sad and happy. Jenny is all excited about her birthday. She runs with party favors to get things ready for her party and trips and falls and breaks her arm. Her mother takes her the hospital and she needs surgery to correct it. Jenny is upset no birthday party with her four best friends. The rest of her family comes to the hospital and try to cheer her up. Her mother leaves and brings in balloons, cake and her friends to celebrate her birthday in her hospital room. It is a fun, sad happy story. The story goes through the process of being in the hospital and how family comes together to make the best out of a situation. The illustrations by Jodi Stone are fantastic. They are bright, colorful and fun. I think children will enjoy the book. Please check out Crystal Clifton’s and Jodi Stone’s other books.

 Good Day Folks.

Have You Ever Seen a Firefly? By Debbie Estrem
Illustrated by Kim Sponaugle  Adventure!
4 stars
Have You Ever Seen a Firefly is a fun read for preschool to early reader. Is a sweet book that asks if you have seen or done things? It explores the adventures and questions that kids have. I like the ending. “Have you counted the stars at night” It encourages dreaming, adventure and exploring and could lead to learning and discussions of the little exciting things young ones experience. The illustrations by Kim Sonaugle are beautiful and full of the little adventures we all have ,even enjoying chocolate pudding. They really enhance the book.

Something Scary in Frogville Adventure!

Good Day Folks,

Something Scary in Frogville by Perry Perkins 5 stars

Now I know what a frog town is like.  Sure enjoyed my adventure at Frogville

The story is filled with descriptive fun characters.  I enjoyed the story. The illustrations enhance the story. Your reader will enjoy the story, and learn that things are not what they appear to be.  Being nice to someone who may stutter, or is clumsy does not mean they are scrary or cannot help.  The lesson is woven nicely into the exciting story.

Children ages 7 to 9 and adults will enjoy this story.

Frogville is having a rough year. It is and the fish have moved to the center of the nearby lake so the frogs fishing poles do not reach where the fish are.  So they must eat greens and cabbage mostly. Then to top it all off there is something  big in the woods at the edge of frogville, which is close to the Bugaboo’s home.  The Mayor decides that Bumblefoot Bugaboo will investigate and slay the stranger. Bumblefoots real name is Bartholomew but everyone called him Bumblefoot because he had large feet and tripped often. The Mayor gave him the great spear  as he reminds Bartholomew the battle to claim their town. That evening when Bartholomew and his younger sister Emma hears the sounds he sets out to find the stranger. As Bartholomew is thinking of how to confront the huge beast his sister  appearsand starts asking questions. They find out what he is and why he is there.  They discover  Neville a Nutinia and he left his home because he was picked on by the way he spoke. He stuttered. Then he lost his glasses in the lake and can’t  see very well. They become friends and they take him to see the Mayor.Frogville folks get their fishing poles out and Emma finds his glasses. Then Nelville puts them on and swims out with his fishing net and brings back a net full of fish. The Mayor decides, they must have a community meal and invites Nelville to join. I’m a Dragon by Sigal Adler Adventure

Standard

Good Day Folks,
This book was fun. Of course I am a little biased since I love dragons. Yes I agree dragons can do whatever they want.
I’m a Dragon by Sigal Adler . 5 gold stars   i'm a dragon
The book is fun rhyming story with colorful fun illustrations by Abira Das. It is 12 pages long. I think parents will enjoy reading this rhythmic rhyming story that discusses a child pushing the limits. I also think young readers up to age 7 will enjoy the story. Children and parents can have fun acting out the scenes as they read.
Brief Synopsis
A young boy named Ron, announces he is a dragon for the day. This means can do anything he wants day or night. His dad has trouble with him throughout the day. Dragons only eat pizza, pasta and ice cream. He does not want to pick up his room, and does not have to ask permission to do anything. Bed time is the final straw, when the young dragon has finally pushed his tired dad and he loses his patience. His father turns into a dragon-dad with three heads. Ron thinks and decides he is not a dragon kid since is dad is a great big dragon and not much fun. It is time to end the game of being a dragon kid and start listening to dad, and go to bed and have a fun dream.

Let me introduce Jodi Stone. I have known Jodi for some time now. She is an inspiration, mentor, listener and best of all a friend. I loved her books the first time I ordered one. I messaged her and told her so and said hey we are with the same publisher. We are on this journey together.

61tn9WMWG3L  81ECeVhnSbL._SL1500_  A17EWwxo5iL._SL1500_ 91-PGjEIDFL._SL1500_

I think her books are better than the Pinkalicious series. The Stone Sisters her main characters are wonderful characters.  She not only writes but creates her own illustrations as well and she is a 3rd grade teacher.  She is the mother of three and loves themed parties.

I love all her books. They are magical, whimsical and encourage confidence.  Keep up with her on her facebook page for updates. Check them all out. Her books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Many of her books are only 99 cents. Pick them all up you and your kids will love them. Easter is right around the corner her Easter Book  “An Easter Bonnet for Lily” is a story the entire family will enjoy.  Check out all her books Jodi Stone Books on Amazon
